Software for painting contractors, from the walkthrough to the yes

Painting work is won twice: once when someone answers the call and books the walkthrough, and again when someone follows up on the estimate. Halo handles the first, and the estimate follow-up tool handles the second, so neither depends on you remembering from a ladder.

The problem

Two places the job slips away

Most painting contractors do their own estimating. That means the phone rings while you are cutting in a ceiling or on an extension ladder, and the homeowner who wanted a walkthrough this week books whoever called back first.

Then, once the estimate goes out, the client goes quiet, the schedule fills with jobs already booked, and nobody follows up. A second quote arrives on their counter, and it was the company that checked in that got the job.

Where it costs you

The moments that lose the work

The walkthrough request. “Can someone come look at the outside this week?” A booked walkthrough is the start of every job, and it is the call most likely to go to voicemail.
The estimate that goes quiet. You priced the prep, the coats and the trim. The client meant to reply. Without a follow-up, careful pricing loses to a faster callback.
The spring rush. Exterior season compresses everyone's demand into the same few months, and the calls arrive when your crews are busiest.
The “ballpark” question. Some callers just want to know if a room is a few hundred or a few thousand. If you have a starting price you are comfortable publishing, they stop asking you.

Cost and limits

What it costs. Halo is $245 a month with unlimited minutes, plus $499 once to build. A website is $2,500 once, then $75 a month. Tools start at $50 a month plus $150 to $250 to set up. Everything is month to month, with no contract. Full detail on the pricing page.

Questions people ask

Who do the follow-ups come from?

Your company, under your business name, in wording you write or approve.

Does my crew have to learn new software?

No. The follow-up works off how you quote now, and Halo just answers the phone.

Will Halo quote a paint job?

No. It books the walkthrough. If you publish a starting price, it can say that price and nothing more.

Can it book walkthroughs into my calendar?

Yes, into Google, Outlook or Apple, only into times that are genuinely free.

Is the estimate follow-up a finished product?

The demo is a working copy with sample data. A real setup is built around your company, scoped and priced before we start.
