Bold Reach vs Jobber

These are not the same kind of thing. Jobber is software to run a home service business: quotes, scheduling, invoices, payments, and an AI Receptionist you can add. Bold Reach builds a phone agent and small tools around the way you already work. Jobber does far more. Here is when each one is the better spend.

The arithmetic

A solo painting contractor, one month

The job: answer the calls you miss and follow up on estimates nobody replied to. One user, monthly billing, no commitment.

MonthlyOnce
Jobber Core + Receptionist$49 + $29 = $78$0
Jobber Connect + Receptionist$139 + $29 = $168. Connect adds automated quote follow-ups.$0
Bold Reach: Halo + estimate follow-up$245 + from $50 = from $295$499 + $150 to $250

Read it straight. Call volume does not change either side: Halo has unlimited minutes, and Jobber's pricing page lists no call limit for Receptionist. Jobber costs less every month and also does scheduling, invoicing and payments, which Bold Reach does not. What the Bold Reach price buys is the build: we write and tune the agent, and the follow-up runs off the way you quote now, in your wording, without moving your business into new software. See the estimate follow-up tool.

Honest fit

Which one to pick

Choose Jobber if...

You want one system to run the business: quotes, the schedule, invoices and payments in one place.
You already run on Jobber. Its own Receptionist at $29 a month uses the data already in your account, and is the cheaper place to start. We would tell you that on the call.
You like setting software up yourself and want to try it free for 14 days first.
Budget is the deciding factor. Core plus Receptionist is $78 a month.

Choose Bold Reach if...

You do not want to move your business into a new platform. We build around the spreadsheet, QuickBooks or calendar you use now.
Your problem is a rule, not a feature: a price sheet on your website, a permit and 811 deadline, a commission page per rep.
You want someone else to write, test and keep tuning the phone agent.
You are not a home service business. Jobber's plans are built for home service; we also work with print shops, offices and landlords.

Questions people ask

Is Bold Reach a Jobber alternative?

Partly. For answering the phone, yes. For running jobs, invoices and payments, no: we do not build field-service software, and Jobber does.

Which is cheaper?

Jobber, per month. Core plus its Receptionist add-on is $78 a month on no-commitment billing. Halo alone is $245 a month plus $499 once.

Do I need Jobber to use Halo?

No. Halo works off your own phone number and your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar.

Does either have a free trial?

Jobber offers 14 days on its Grow plan with no credit card, per its pricing page. Bold Reach has no trial, but you can ring (248) 936-6493 to hear Halo first, and there is no contract.

Can you build my quote calculator if I use Jobber?

Yes. A calculator on your website, built from your own price sheet, does not depend on which software you run jobs in.

Not sure which you need? Ask, and get a straight answer.
