Profit per load tracker for junk removal companies

The crew logs each job from their phone: how full the truck was, the dump fee and the hours. You see what every load actually made after dump fees and labor, not just what you charged.

The problem

The price on the invoice is not what the job made

Junk removal is priced by how much space a load takes in the truck, but what a job costs depends on things you only learn afterwards: what the transfer station charged, how long the crew spent carrying things down two flights of stairs, whether that mattress needed a separate fee. A job that looked good on the quote can make very little once the dump fee and the labor are taken out.

Most owners have a feel for which jobs are worth it, but it is a feel. The numbers are on scale tickets in the truck, timesheets and the invoice, and nobody puts them side by side job by job. So when the schedule is full and two jobs want the same afternoon, the choice is a guess.

What the tool does

How it works, step by step

01
Before leaving

The crew logs the job

From a phone at the curb: the customer, the kind of job, how full the truck was, what was charged, the dump fee, the crew size and the hours.

02
Worked out for you

What the load made

Labor is worked out from the crew size, the hours and a labor rate you set. Take out the dump fee and the labor, and that is what the job made.

03
Every job

The owner view

Every job in one list with what it charged, the dump fee, the labor and what it made, so the jobs that lose money stand out on their own.

04
Over time

Which jobs pay best per hour

Jobs are grouped by kind, like garage cleanouts, furniture pickups or construction debris, and ranked by what they made per truck hour.

The demo runs a made-up company, Load Up Junk Removal, with a week and a half of sample jobs. Change the labor rate and watch every number move. Filter by kind of job, or switch to the crew phone view, log a new job and see where it lands. Every price, fee and hour in it is made up.

Sample data. Every name, job and number in the demo is made up. Nothing is saved and nothing is sent.

Who it is for

Built for one trade, on purpose

Junk hauling companies with one truck or several, where the owner is not on every job and wants to know what each one made.
Owners deciding what to say yes to when the schedule is full and they want to know which kinds of job actually pay best per hour.
Not for: replacing your accounting or your invoicing. It sits beside them and answers one question: what did this load make.
What it costs. Tools on our pricing page start at $50 a month plus $150 to $250 to set up, depending on the tool. The exact price for this one is set on a short call, before anything is built.

Questions people ask

What counts as labor?

Crew size times hours on the job, times a labor rate you set. If you want truck costs or fuel counted too, that can be added as a set amount per hour or per job.

Does the crew need training?

It is one short form on a phone, filled in before they leave the curb. The numbers it asks for are ones they already know: the price, the fee on the scale ticket and how long it took.

Can it handle mattress or appliance fees?

Yes. Any extra disposal charge goes in with the dump fee, so the job shows what it made after everything you paid to get rid of the load.

Does it work with my booking or invoicing software?

It is set up around what you use now. If the price and the customer already live somewhere, we can pull them across so the crew only adds the fee and the hours. We confirm on the first call.

Is this a finished product?

It is a working demo with sample data. A real setup is built around your company: your name, your wording and your jobs. It is scoped and priced before we start.
