Materials and receipt tracker for handyman businesses
You snap a photo of each hardware store receipt and pick the job. Every part and dollar lands on that job, so nothing gets left off the bill.
The parts you forget to bill come out of your pocket
A handyman day is three jobs and two trips to the hardware store, sometimes one receipt covering parts for two customers. The receipts end up in the cup holder, the door pocket and a jacket. When it is time to write the bill, the labor is easy to remember and the materials are not, so a few parts get guessed, rounded down or forgotten.
Forgotten parts are money you already spent. They come straight out of the job. Then at the end of the year the same pile of faded receipts has to be sorted for your taxes, and by then half of them are unreadable.
How it works, step by step
Snap the receipt
Take a photo of the receipt in the parking lot. The store, the date and the parts are read off the photo for you to check.
Every line lands on it
Choose which job the receipt belongs to. Every part and its price is added to that job's materials.
Nothing left off
Each job shows its materials total, and any part not yet on the customer's bill is flagged until you add it.
Already sorted by job
Every receipt is saved under its job with the date and store, and exports to a spreadsheet for you or your bookkeeper.
Click through it yourself
The demo runs a made-up handyman, Fix It Right Handyman, with five sample jobs and a week of receipts. Open a flagged job to see which parts are not on the bill yet and add them in one tap. Then add a receipt: pick one of the sample receipts, choose a job and watch it land there. The receipts tab shows everything sorted by job, ready to export.
Sample data. Every name, job and number in the demo is made up. Nothing is saved and nothing is sent.

Questions people ask
Does it read the receipt for me?
In a real setup the store, date and parts are read off the photo and shown for you to check before saving. In the demo you pick a sample receipt or type the lines in.
What if one receipt covers two jobs?
Each line can go to a different job, so a receipt with parts for two customers is split between them.
Does it work with what I bill with now?
It is set up to work alongside whatever you bill with now, whether that is invoicing software, QuickBooks or a spreadsheet. We confirm which on the first call.
Is this tax advice?
No. It keeps every receipt sorted by job with the date, store and amount. What you can deduct is a question for your accountant.
Is this a finished product?
It is a working demo with sample data. A real setup is built around your company: your name, your wording and your jobs. It is scoped and priced before we start.
